Thank you for your participation in last week's challenge. I hope you enjoyed our creations. It is with much sadness that I am posting today the end of The Gypsy Spot. We are closing the blog down at the end of the week. As many of you know I host The Cuttlebug Spot and added The Gypsy Spot to bring your creations with Gypsy and Cricut, I have found that having two blogs has taken a lot of my time away from other things I enjoy. I may bring this blog back in the future, but for now it's a sad good bye.

Thank you so much for your support. Thank you to my Design Team.. you are all so very talented and I wish you the best in all your endeavors. I and many others will continue to admire your creations by visiting your blogs.

This week we are sharing projects completed with Post-it® Craft Paper. I hope you enjoy them. This paper can be found at Jo-ann's and other craft retailers. The paper is self adhesive and repostionable. I love how easy it is for children to work with it also. You can see the video below of my son making an elephan designed on the Gypsy.

This week we are announcing a change to our weekly challenges. Our blog was started for Gypsy users, but we know that there are many out there that do not own a Gypsy or Desing Studio. Therefore, we are going to open all challenges to Cricut creations in general so that more of you can participate. We would love to see your projects just make sure you include some Cricut cuts. Our focus remains the Gypsy and its potential to enhance our creativity, but its not a must to enter our challenges.

Now for this week's challenge and prize. I am so happy to announce that Post-It® has offered to sponsor some of our challenges. They have a new line of adhesive backed craft paper that works awesome in your Cricut. The paper can be embossed and punched with paper punches. It's so easy to work with. Everyone is always so supportive and helpful. If you have never shopped at their store, you really should give them a visit. Not only will you find everything you need for scrapbooking or card making, but also some wonderful articles for fantastic projects. They also have a Youtube channel where you can enjoy some wonderful videos for awesome projects. Welcome to our first challenge : Wanderings

Thank you so much for wandering over to our blog. This is our first week and we are so very excited to share with you our creations. Here at The Gypsy Spot we will be sharing with you projects made with the Cricut Gypsy. We hope that you visit often, but more importantly that you are inspired and learn with us. The Cricut Gypsy is a new product by Provo Craft intended to take your creativity to a new level. If you would like more information about this product please go here.

The Gypsy comes with two digital cartridges preloaded; Gypsy Wanderings and Gypsy Font. We thought it would be a great start to explore these cartridges for our first challenge. Please enter a project using a cut from either one of these two cartridges. You need to link us to your project by leaving a comment. We are working on getting Mr. Linky set up so for now just leave a comment with the link.

This week my wonderful husband has decided to sponsor our challenge. He will mail a $20.00 Michael's Store gift card to the person with the best project. He will chose not me. Our Amazing Design Team

Five years ago, I decided to make the invitations for my daughter's bridal shower. Little did I know, a new obsession of mine was about to be born! I quickly discovered the world of scrapbooking and my Cricut Expression and Cuttlebug are now two of my closest friends, along with a gazillion other paper crafting items. I have four grown children and three beautiful grandchildren and I started a scrapbook for each of them. The scrapbook have been e a bit neglected these days because, I must say, card making is what I enjoy the most. I am always on the lookout for new techniques, tools and gadgets and I confess, I think I may have a serious addiction to craft "stuff"! When I am not crafting, I keep busy with my family and you will never find me without one of my cameras. I don't think I have one particular style... after a day or two of working with whatever it may be, I'll get bored and move on to other techniques or styles. Im thrilled to be part of the Gypsy Design Team and sharing my creations with this wonderful new toy.

I am Susan Edwards, wife, mother, artist, and scrap booker. I have been married to a wonderful man for 28 years and we have three adult/teenage children. I have always found enjoyment and gratification in creating art, and for me scrapbooking is an archival form of art. Scrapbooking allows me to chronicle the stories and events of our lives, capturing the memories in print and photos, while creating heirlooms of the future.

I have enjoyed scrapping for the last dozen or so years, but the introduction of the Cricut turned a boarder-line scrap addiction into a full-fledged scrapping obsession! I love my Cricut Expression and now it has been joined by the Gypsy! The Expression machine combined with Gypsy allows such freedom and flexibility, I can create art anyplace. I hope that you find inspiration and perhaps learn something new as I share my work with you.

Hi I am Jeannie, married 28 years to the love of my life Robby who thank goodness supports my card-making obsession. We have two wonderful kids Madison and John-Robert. Madison is 24 and married to Cory, they live in Memphis, TN. Madison has a Masters in Accounting and works as an accountant for International paper. Cory is working on his Masters Degree at Memphis State and works part-time. John-Robert, 22 is at Auburn working on his Secondary Ed degree in History and is an RA Camp Director in the summers.

I started doing paper crafts when Hobby Lobby came to my town 3 and a half years ago... then I got my Cricut!!...and paper crafting turned into card making which is my passion!

When I was 16 my mother went to a Creative Memories party and took me with
her. I had always been into paper and crafty stuff and I was instantly in
love with scrapbooking! I was intrigued by all the stickers, punches,
markers, paper and more!! I have been scrapbooking ever since! It is a
creative outlet for me and really lets me have some ME time! Well GIRLY time
for that matter.

I was 19 when I was married to Mike. We will be celebrating our 11 year
anniversary December 22! WOW. Time goes fast!! (and in that sentence I also
told you how old I am!! HA!!) We have 3 boys (which was why this site caught
my eye in the first place!). Derrik is 9 (we got pregnant on our
honeymoon!), Hayden is 7, and Tanner is 4. They keep us pretty busy!! We
live in Wasilla, Alaska. I teach scrapbooking classes at my Local Scrapbook
Store - "The Scraptique" and I am the Design Team Coordinator at
www.3scrappyboys.com. (most of the papers and fun goodies I use come from
the fab kits I get from this site!!)

A few fun facts about me: I LOVE to play with Toys! I mean kid toys! I am
100 percent addicted to Mr. Potato Head. I have a HUGE rubbermaid tote FULL
of parts and pieces that I have collected and over 25 bodies. The kids and I
will sit and play for hours!! It is a blast! AND I honestly could sit and
play with Tanners GeoTrax train for a while. There is just something about
putting the train tracks together that fascinates me!

I have FIVE sisters and one brother. I am the oldest and it is funny because
my 2 oldest children are OLDER than my brother. (Heck I am 23 years older
than he is!!) He will be 7 in January! My youngest sister will be 13 in
January. There is a big gap in ages. It's definitely fun when they all get
together! My parents have been married for 31 years now!! They got married
when they were 17! That is awesome!

My name is Vicki Purdham and I recently got married. Together Todd and I have 5 children. A daughter, Susan who is 20 and is a college student. We have 4 boys, Jake-12, Brandon-11, Nick-10 and Luke-9. I have been making crafts most of life. I love doing all kinds of crafts too. I think I have tried just about every kind out there. I have scrapbooked for years but only recently started making cards. That is my true love. When I first bought my "E" I thought it would be one of those things that I would love to start with and then tire of it and want to do something different. But that is not what happened at all, instead with every card I make I want to make more and more. It is almost like I am in competition with myself to make a better card each time. I love love love making cards. Then when Provocraft started advertising the Gypsy I just knew I had to have one. I absolutely love my gypsy. I am able to do things with cards that I never was able to do before. If I have a card idea I can put it in my gypsy and then cut it out at a different time. The versatility of being able to use my gypsy ANYWHERE is so amazing. I just love it. I am so excited to be a member of this design team and look forward to sharing all of my creations with out. I am so excited to see what all Nilda finds for us to create.

My name is Marci and when I was little girl my nick name was Marci Pie. When I create and play I am that little girl again. I‘m married to a wonderful husband who appreciates my creative spirit! I have 3 teenagers and work outside the home in the Human Resources field. I love crafts and love a rubber stamp, scrapbook, sew, quilt, cook, and do anything creative.

I'm 28 years old and live in Utah. I've been married to my incredible husband for over 8 years and we have 4 beautiful dogs. I've been scrapbooking since I was a teenager but I only started doing other paper crafts after I got my Cricut in early 2008. I love paper crafting, shopping, photography, videography, movies, music, board games, card games, video games and spending time with family & close friends. Humor and laughter are as important in life to me as air and water. I'm a people person and I love being social. I have learned SO much from the online crafting community and look forward to learning even more!

I've been scrapping since Sept 08 and was hooked almost immediately! I love exploring all scrappy styles but by far my favorite is to use my cricut and really embellish. I have a 3 year old son, a supportive husband, teach the Cricut at my LSS and have a full time job on top of it all (which is really just to finance my addiction to scrapping). Life is good!

This is a call for Design Team members. If you own a Gypsy and would like to be part of the Design Team here at the Gypsy Spot please follow the instructions below to be considered. This call will close on Friday October 16th, I will announce the new members on Tuesday October 20th. I am looking for 4 new members.

Design Team term : 6 months minimum.
Must own the Cricut Gypsy and atleast 2 font cartridges and 2 shape cartridges (in addition to Gypsy font and Wanderings )
No need to be an expert with this new toy... we are all going to learn, create, and share.

What you must do to be considered. :
